Executive Director & Publisher
Jessica Bennett is the founder, volunteer executive director and publisher of Indigo Ink Press. Her passion for publishing stems from her love of great literature and design, and her desire to provide an outlet to a new generation of storytellers and artists.
Bennett has two bachelor’s degrees from Walsh University, in English and in corporate communications. At Walsh, she produced Raison d’etre, Walsh’s literary magazine, and completed her senior honors thesis, Initiative, Imitation and Intimation: The Creative Cycle of Poetry and Painting, an introspective creative paper, including a mini chapbook of her own poetry and several paintings.
Bennett has worked at Innis Maggiore, the nation’s leading advertising agency in the practice of positioning, and is currently the Director of Marketing & Events for the Canton Regional Chamber of Commerce, where her work includes writing and editing two publications. She is the past Arts Editor for Buzzbin Magazine, a monthly alternative serving Northeast Ohio. Bennett is the past president of Canton Advertising Federation, an advisor to the ystark! executive committee, a member of the ArtsinStark special initiatives committee, marketing chair and board trustee for the Canton Symphony Orchestra and board member and communications chair for the Greater Stark County Urban League. She is the winner of the Thrive Under 35 marketing award (2009) and Twenty under 40! (2012).
