Currently, Indigo Ink Press accepts submissions year-round in the areas of literary fiction, poetry and artistic non-fiction only. We’re especially interested in talented burgeoning storytellers, but we will consider submissions from both new and previously published authors.

Poetry
Indigo Ink plans to publish at least one chapbook of poetry each year.

Literary Fiction*
We accept novel-length literary fiction from contemporary storytellers (please no short stories unless you’re submitting as part of one of our planned anthologies). We’re not interested in straight genre fiction like fantasy, science fiction, horror, romance, western, etc. But if you have an incredible piece of writing that includes touches of these genres, we’d love to read it.

*PLEASE NOTE: We are a very new small press, just getting started. In 2011-12, we plan to publish three collections of poetry, and will not embark on publishing plans for a novel-length work until 2013 at earliest.

Artistic Non-Fiction
We plan to publish collections of visual artwork in all media, but we are currently focused upon literary publishing pursuits. If you are an individual artist, please submit at least 12 images of your work (resolution should be at least 100dpi). Please also check our upcoming books section to see if you qualify to submit as part of an upcoming collaborative volume.

Acceptable formats for submissions:

…Fiction – Query letters with sample chapter(s)
…Fiction – Completed manuscript with cover letter
…Poetry – Collections of at least 15 poems with cover letter
…Artistic Non-Fiction – Submissions of at least 12 images with cover letter

If you are mailing your materials to us, please be sure to include full contact information (including email address and phone number) or we will not be able to send you a response. We will happily return your printed manuscript to you if you include a postage-ready mailer.
